Dear Yune Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I remember Mrs. Kay so fondly. I had such admiration and respect for her — an intelligent woman, loving friend, wife, and mother. She reared three very special children. I wish that I could be there for the memorial service. Please know that I am with you in spirit. I pray that you will feel God’s love and comfort as you go through this very difficult time of grief.
Love and blessings,
Mary Kathryn

Dear Kay. my sister (dêädïÿ)and my long time friend:
You have lived an amazing life as a dedicated mother of 3 wonderful children, as devoted wife to Heun for 55 years of wonderful marriage and as a faithful Christian throughout your entire life, You were well-loved and highly respected.
As you leave us now and enter the Kingdom of God, you will forever be missed but I know in the right time, we will meet again. Till then, “WE LOVE YOU & WE WILL MISS YOU”

Dear Dr. Yune.
Eun-Ja and I would like to express our deepest sympathy to you and your family, Christine in Chicago and Dennis in Barcelona also send their condolences to you, Jeanny, Helen and Marc. The first time I met Mrs. Yune was in the spring of 1973 when I came to I.U. for an interview. You kindly invited me for a dinner at your home in North Willow Farm. Mrs. Yune welcomed me with a big smile. At once She made me feel at home, and her kindness was overwhelming. We can never forget how nice and helpful she was as we began our new life in Indianapolis. She was like a family member to us. She once took care of Christine after picking her up from her school when she got sick and none of her parents was available. She was highly respected by the I.U. School of Medicine families and throughout the community. We will miss her very much. She certainly had a beautiful life; was loved by many; and she is now in a better and peaceful place.
With many thanks and fond memories,
Eun-Ja and Hee-Myung Park

My Dearest Sister, Kay:
My human sorrow at losing you untimely at this time is unspeakable, but I take a great comfort in the knowledge that you are in the LordGÇÖs bosom and that we shall meet again in heaven by GodGÇÖs grace. You were the first one in our family who found the Lord Jesus as the personal savior early, and you led mother and me to the same saving knowledge! From my early childhood, you were like my second mother and took care of me, and I admired your confidence and wisdom. Throughout my life, you were always my encourager, advisor and a comforter when in need. Naturally, I always tried to imitate you. I shall cherish for long all the happy memories of our lives, growing up together and sharing joys in our parentsGÇÖ love and care. I am also glad that you lived a full life with your loving husband and beautiful children. Farewell for now until we meeting again in the House of the Lord. Your little sister, Sheila (O¦Çd¬à8ïñ).

It was in the early spring of 1959 when I met Kay Yune for the first time.
I was just a young nervous army lieutenant waiting for an interview with Dr.Crane who was the director of Jesus Hospital in a Jeonju,Korea.
A beautiful lady with a warm smile greeted me. That was Kay, who was Dr.Crane’s
secretary at that time. She reassured me and made me feel comfortable through the whole process.
From that day on, she had been like a big sister to me, until just a few days ago when she whispered “I have always thought of you as my brother”. I will always treasure those words deep in my heart.
She was a very kind and caring person. In Nashville, There were hardly any Koreans who had not been invited to her house as they started their new, challenging, lives on foreign soil. So many of us have benefited from her kindness and thoughtfulness.
Our families have shared so many wonderful memories from Jeonju,Korea to Nashville,Tn. and then on to Northwillow farm’s in Indianapolis.
Kay, we know your life has just passed, but we still feel your presence here, and it is hard to let you go.
You will be in our hearts and in our shared memories forever.
May God embrace you in peace. We shall miss you.
With deepest sympathy. Love Chi and Jung

Dr. Yune,
I was so sorry to hear about Kay. I had been following her case since I hadn’t seen her in awhile. I was so saddened when I got the news. Taking care of her and talking with the two of you was such a pleasure, and I am glad I got to know both of you. It was a lovely time of my day when she came in. She was a sweet, special lady, and I know she will be missed greatly.
Please, never hesitate to let me know if you need anything at all.
